•Beam Suntory’s House of Suntory has announced the U.S. launch of the 2022 Limited Edition Yamazaki Tsukuriwake Selection, set to hit shelves in June. The release consists of four single malts from Yamazaki—Puncheon, Peated Malt, Spanish Oak, and Mizunara—with all bottled at 48% abv. •The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States (DISCUS) has teamed up with Pronghorn to launch an effort aimed at increasing the share of Black employees and executives across the spirits industry. Pronghorn, a company devoted to building the next generation of Black entrepreneurs in the spirits world, will lead the initiative, which aims to fill 1,800 jobs in the industry over the next 10 years. The program will cover jobs ranging from the entry level to the executive suite and will post jobs on www.pronghorn.co/careers, as well as on individual spirits companies’ websites. Diageo is an anchor investor in Pronghorn.

•Georgetown, Kentucky’s Blue Run Spirits has expanded its distribution footprint, adding Florida and Texas, making the brand available in a total of 15 states across the U.S. In Texas, the company’s portfolio will be handled by RNDC and, in Florida, by Breakthru. In addition to adding two new markets, the company has also named William Howe as CFO; Jon McKnight, formerly a consultant for the brand, has come on full time as Kentucky operations lead; and Sammy Halpern has been named global brand manager. Howe joins Blue Run from Amazing Brands, and Halpern is moving from Moët Hennessy USA.
