Market reports for the global cycling industry

US brand Wolftooth has partnered with Magura to introduced a 8-bit stackable multi-tool, designed and manufactured in the US, for trailside maintenance on bike and brakes.

At the heart of the stackable, 25 function tool; the extra flat Wolftooth 8-bit pack pliers.

Bits housed in the handle and secured by magnets give the tool 17 functions for trailside maintenance. Thanks to the ball head, even hard-to-reach places can be easily accessed. The comfortable length of the tool provides helpful leverage, for example even to release pedals.

The stackable tool can be magnetically expanded with 3 additional components. These include chain tools with a utility knife, tyre levers and dent removers for rims or a disc brake multi-tool with a tire lever.

The Wolftooth collaboration focuses specifically on delivering a Magura disc brake multi-tool. This ensures the brake pad and rotor gauges measure the minimum thicknesses so that a riders Magura brake system is working properly and all parts within the system are maintained as intended. The tool also includes a rotor truing tool and a slotted 8mm pin wrench for tightening the compression sleeve nut on the brake master.

The tool is able to sandwich in between the Wolftooth trail tool line up making a complete package for trailside maintenance. Thanks to its flat design, the tool can be easily stowed away in a jersey pocket or hip bag, despite its many functions.
