Car recalls: Ford recalled 616,000 vehicles, Hyundai recalled 151,000 vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall notice from May 6 to 13, in which Ford recalled 616,967 vehicles and Hyundai recalled 151,205 vehicles. Please refer to the following list of this week's recalls involving ten or more units:

Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2021 FUV, 2020 Deliverator, 2020-2021 Roadster and 2021 Rapid Responder motorcycles. The steering angle sensor (SAS) may not be calibrated properly, causing SAS to fail or incorrectly detect a failure. 261 units were affected. read more

Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2021 FUV, 2021 Rapid Responder, 2020 Deliverator, 2020-2021 Roadster. Due to a software error, the communication between the inverters may time out, which may cause the battery to shut down unexpectedly. 261 units were affected. read more

Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2021 FUV, 2020 Deliverator, and 2021 Rapid Responder motorcycles. The seat belt retractor spool sleeve may break, and the debris will prevent the seat belt from retracting. 255 units were affected. read more

Volkswagen Group (Audi) is recalling certain 2021 Q7, Q8, Q5 Sportback, SQ5 Sportback, RS6 Avant, RS7, RS Q8, 2020-2021 Audi S6 sedan, Q5, A8, S8, A7, A6 Allroad, A5 convertible Car, A4 sedan, A4 Allroad, SQ5, S7, A6 sedan, S5 coupe, S4 sedan, S5 convertible, A5 coupe, 2019-2021 RS5 coupe, A5 Sportback, S5 Sportback, RS5 Sportback vehicles. The lock nut on the trailing arm of the rear axle may break due to stress corrosion. 40,993 units were affected. read more

BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling certain 2021 330i, 330i xDrive, M340i, M3 and 330e xDrive vehicles. The bolts fixing the seat belt assembly to the frame are not tightened according to the specifications. 12 units were affected. read more

Blue Bird is recalling certain 2018-2021 Vision and national school buses. The drive system may experience electromagnetic noise on the Control Area Network (CAN) bus, which may cause the power steering pump to cut off. 302 units were affected. read more

Blue Bird is recalling certain 2018-2022 national buses. The sealing gasket may not be installed correctly in the pilot hole, resulting in leakage of the high-pressure fuel rail assembly. 1,053 units were affected. read more

Blue Bird is recalling certain U.S. vehicles from 2018-2022. The sealing gasket may not be installed correctly in the pilot hole, resulting in leakage of the high-pressure fuel rail assembly. 134 units were affected. read more

Blue Bird is recalling certain 2020-2022 Vision and national school buses. The retainer is not properly installed in the SC-3 single check valve and may not provide air isolation when pressure is applied. Therefore, these vehicles do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 121 "Air Brake System". 1,634 units were affected. read more

Blue Bird is recalling certain 2022-2022 Vision and national buses. The retainer is not properly installed in the SC-3 single check valve and may not provide air isolation when pressure is applied. Therefore, these vehicles do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 121 "Air Brake System". 96 units were affected. read more

Ducati North America is recalling some 2017-2020 Monster 797, Monster 1200, Supersport, 2016-2020 XDiavel and 2018-2020 Monster 821 motorcycles. Air may infiltrate the post-baking system. 5,909 units were affected. read more

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Freightliner Custom Chass XC Chassis, 108SD, Custom Chass XB Chassis, Business Class M2, 114SD and Western Star 4700 vehicles. The sealing gasket may not be installed correctly in the pilot hole, resulting in leakage of the high-pressure fuel rail assembly. 9,662 units were affected. read more

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2016-2019 Explorer vehicles. The fixing pins may loosen and cause the roof rail cover to fall off the vehicle. 616,967 units were affected. read more

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2019 Transit T150, T250 and T350 vehicles equipped with aluminum alloy wheels. The wheel mounting surface of the axle flange may warp and cause the wheel bolts to break. 2,503 units were affected. read more

Insufficient overlap between the roadside and street-side roof doors may cause the street-side doors to open unexpectedly. 229 units were affected. read more

HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2016-2021 AF1 and 1871 vehicles. The self-leveling function may malfunction, causing the high-altitude bucket to move beyond the horizontal position. Eight units were affected. read more

HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain 2013-2021 AF1, 1871 and SFO vehicles. Insufficient voltage and/or broken line insulation may cause the air control system to malfunction. 30 units were affected. read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2021 Elantra vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat backs may not be welded properly. 1,464 units were affected. read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2021 Santa Fe cars equipped with 2.5-liter turbo engines. The fuel pipe connecting the high-pressure fuel pump and the fuel rail may not be tightened properly. Two units were affected. read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Elantra, 2019-2021 Kona and Veloster vehicles equipped with 2.0-liter Nu MPI engines. The piston oil ring may not have been properly heat treated, which may cause damage to the engine. 125,840 units were affected. read more

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain Santa Fe Sport cars from 2013-2015. Brake fluid may leak into the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module, which may cause an electrical short circuit. 151,205 units were affected. read more

Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) is recalling certain 2021 travel trailer Jay Feather mini-trailers. The spare wheel carrier may break at the bending radius or gusset. 559 units were affected. read more

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2021 Jeep Cherokee cars. The transmission oil cooler hose may not be cured properly, causing transmission oil to leak. 18,800 units were affected. read more

Keystone RV (Keystone) is recalling certain 2021 Passport 282QB, 2400RB, and 2704RK trailers. The safety chain installed is underestimated by the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). 574 units were affected. read more

KTM North America, Inc. (KTM) is recalling certain 2019-2020 KTM 790 Adventure and 790 Adventure R and 2020 KTM 790 Adventure R Rally motorcycles. The front brake master cylinder piston return spring may be too weak to return the brake piston to its original position, thereby reducing the function of the front brake. 3,707 units were affected. read more

Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2019-2020 LR vehicles. The amount of fuel in the steering transfer case may be insufficient. 262 units were affected. read more

Mitsubishi Fuso Trucking Corporation of America (MFTA) is recalling certain Fuso FEC7T vehicles for 2019-2021. The rear leaf spring may break. 335 units were affected. read more

Nissan North America (Nissan) is recalling certain 2021 Rogue cars. The left rear and/or right rear brake caliper assembly may lack internal bushings, causing O-rings to move and brake fluid leakage. 14,054 units were affected. read more

Oshkosh is recalling certain 2021 S series vehicles. The auxiliary shaft may not be properly fixed and may fall off. 47 units were affected. read more

Porsche Motors North America (Porsche) is recalling some 2021 Cayenne GTS, Cayenne GTS Coupe, 2020-2021 Cayenne Coupe, Cayenne S Coupe, Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe vehicles. The passenger seat backrest heating element is not installed, which may affect the calibration of the occupant classification system. 136 units were affected. read more

Rosenbauer is recalling some 2016-2020 commercial F-550, 2019 commercial 7500, 2015 commercial 7400, 2018 commercial 7400, 2019 commercial HV613, 2018 commander, 2017 02 commercial 106 Warrior, 16 202 Warrior, 2015 Commercial M2 112 and 2021 commercial 348 vehicles. The taillights may be too bright. Therefore, these vehicles do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 "Lights, Reflective Devices and Related Equipment". 32 units were affected. read more

Suzuki Motor America LLC (Suzuki) is recalling certain 2019-2020 UH200 motorcycles. The speedometer assembly resistor may corrode and cause the wheel speed sensor to power off, preventing the speedometer and odometer from displaying information. 270 units were affected. read more

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DNTA) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner HDX school buses. The sealing gasket may not be installed correctly in the pilot hole, resulting in leakage of the high-pressure fuel rail assembly. 1,262 units were affected. read more

Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. (Tiffin) is recalling certain 2017-2021 buses and Phaeton cars. The sealing gasket may not be installed correctly in the guide hole, resulting in leakage of the high-pressure fuel rail assembly. 3,198 units were affected. read more

Volkswagen is recalling some 2017 Touareg GP, Tiguan, Golf A6, E-Golf GP, CCF, 2016-2017 Passat GP, 2018-2019 Golf R GP and 2018 Atlas cars. These internally used vehicles were sold without confirmation that they were manufactured in accordance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and may have been modified prior to sale. Therefore, these vehicles may not meet the requirements of various federal motor vehicle safety standards. 46 units were affected. read more

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2021 Arteon vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor is not calibrated correctly, and the position of the wheel sensor may not be detected after the tire has rotated. Therefore, these vehicles do not meet the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 138 "Tire Pressure Monitoring System". 149 units were affected. read more
