This week’s DTN’s "Taxi Farmer’s Perspective" provided the latest news on the harvest and discussed why they chose to work in agriculture.

Sitting in a store in Tennessee, it's hard not to notice the welding setup. In the center is a huge welding table on which is placed a 1-inch thick steel plate. Never seen such a big one. No army will move it.

In a store in Illinois, the owner hoisted a large, old anvil to the top of his soldering station. He told us that he could hit the anvil as much as he could with a 3-pound sled and the table would not move.

The table didn't even move.

The great welding station was first established in the minds of farmers, who knew that welders, cutting torches and even plasma cutters (and heavy hammers) were essential in a fully functional workshop.

According to what we saw, we shook it on our table.

Although the two tables described above are battleships in the welding industry, ours is more like a cruiser-lighter and more stylish, but still able to withstand shocks-and perform heavy work. It has easy-to-add features to maximize the size of the work surface. Its compact, well-designed storage space allows you to move parts and tools with the table.

This table weighs 850 pounds and is mounted on four wheels with a maximum load of 1,000 pounds. The top is 4 x 8 feet, 3/8 inch steel plate. The table is approximately 36 inches from the floor. The welding frame mainly uses 2×2 inch square steel pipes.

-The coolest part. This 40 box rotating parts tower is made of three off-the-shelf parts. Trash bins are hung on louvers that are bent to form towers. The points where the two ends of the panel meet are spot welded. The tower is welded to a heavy-duty speaker rotating device. The rotary joint is bolted to the handle of the heavy-duty drawer. The whole assembly is fixed on the bottom shelf of the table with screws. The tower can be stored under the tabletop or pulled out for easy access.

- Rest awhile. This table includes a swing-out seat. The hinge installed on the table leg is made of a certain length of steel pipe, and is welded to the table leg with a piece of steel. The seat is taken from an adjustable stool. Here, it is screwed into an internally threaded coupler welded to the end of the mounting frame. The seat is designed to be adjustable.

- Part space. The rows of parts bins are each supported by two flat steels-six steels in total. The plastic lip on the back of the bin hangs from the top flat bar of the row. In order to keep the trash can extending forward, the second flat bar rests on the lower rear part of the trash can. Please note that the table top extends above the parts box. This prevents welding waste from filling up the trash can.

- Heavy storage. The space on the back of the soldering station will not be wasted. The storage of steel mesh packages is divided into two shelves. The top shelf has a mesh bottom that allows debris to fall to the bottom shelf, where it can be swept away. The upper shelf is also recessed by an inch to prevent tools and parts from falling on the floor when moving the table. A round bar is welded between the shelf area and one end of the table. In this way, various welding tongs can be hung conveniently.
